My husband and I just got back from working at the studio. I know he would have rather been elsewhere since it is Saturday and it's a gorgeous day! But I really needed his help. and he obliged. Thanks Mike, you're the best!
The first pic is what we started with - chaos! No place to move and it was really hard to find a safe place to put the extension ladder. Gotta love the 12 foot ceilings though - we can store a whole bunch of yarn way up there.
After 4 hours everything was put away, cardboard was loaded into the van and we headed home to start our weekend.
I still want to knit something with that new midnight blue color. Maybe I should just get myself a cold drink, grab some needles and play away. Uh huh, that's what I'm going to do!
looks lovely in there!I want to play with new hemp yarn, too!

Happy summer!
Nice work on the 'storganization' (and here I thought I had challenges organizing my stash). Glad to hear you are finding (making) time to knit too. I will make room (on my needles?) for four skeins of midnight blue should it come my way.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the organizing! The colours I see are beautiful!

I love seeing your organization! I recently purchased some of your hempton to make the Miss Terry shawl on the Ravelry Criminal Minds Group. One of my friends has hers completed; and it is gorgeous:)
ReplyDeleteI would love some of the midnight blue!
I have tried to encourage my LYS to look again at your patterns and yarn; as they have very little is stock (that is where I bought what I have--Athena Fibers in Sioux Falls, SD.
Thanks :)
All that yarn looks fabulous! Good job on organizing.

The colors are just lovely! How nice to spend your days surrounded by them. I've been enjoying navy as a good neutral to replace black. And hemp is one of my favorite fibers, with its drape and comfort in almost all weathers. Though midnight blue is more romantic sounding than navy. Would be very happy to get a shot at using it.
ReplyDeleteOh, my, fibre heaven! I would never want to leave. And the blue is lovely.
